Ever since Kurt (Chris Colfer) learned that Blaine (Darren Criss) cheated on him during Glee Season 4, Episode 4 "The Break-Up," neither of the two have been on speaking terms. Blaine texted Kurt to say he was sorry about a billion times, but Kurt didn’t want any of it.
Then Kurt’s boss, Isabelle (Sarah Jessica Parker) — who is, by the way, fabulous, and we basically want her to be our spirit animal — stepped in. Isabelle convinced Kurt to do the mature thing and try to make things right.
So right before Sectionals in Season 4, Episode 8: “Thanksgiving,” Kurt gave Blaine a call, and the two took their very first steps towards making amends. Here’s a look back at what they said.
Kurt: Hey, can you hear me? It’s kind of loud out here.
Blaine: Yeah, yeah. I can hear you.
Kurt: Have you guys performed yet?
Blaine: Um, no. Not yet. But Kurt, I just want you to know that no matter...
Kurt: Just let me talk for a second. Look, you've said you're sorry a million times. I believe you. And I'm trying to forgive you. I'm just not there yet. But it's Thanksgiving and I miss you like crazy and I can't stand not talking to you, because you're still my best friend.
At Christmas, we need to have a mature heart-to-heart. And maybe if it's cold enough, we could go ice skating on the Auglaize River and get a hot chocolate, anywhere but the Lima Bean, because when I was working there I saw a mouse.
Blaine: So, we're really going to see each other at Christmas?
Kurt: Yeah. [pause] Well, don't let any of those hideous Warblers win, alright? Break a leg. Happy Thanksgiving.
Blaine: Happy Thanksgiving. Kurt, I love you so much.
Kurt: I love you, too.
The best part? We already have photo confirmation that Kurt and Blaine do go on that ice skating date... but it’s not at some river in Ohio like Kurt suggested. Nope. He and Blaine are skating at Bryant Park in New York City!
Blaine makes the trip to visit Kurt in NYC for the holidays. But will they get back together? That still remains to seen.
