We love Rachel (Lea Michele), but the girl can be a bit intense. And during tonight’s Glee Season 4, Episode 13: “Diva,” her drama queen antics reached an all-time high.
Drunk with power over her newfound fame and Winter Showcase championship prestige, Rachel has become insufferable. She’s ignoring Kurt (Chris Colfer), bossing him around with all sorts of unrealistic demands, and genuinely turning into a total pain to live with.
Frustrated to no end, Kurt challenges Rachel to a Diva-Off. They had one back at McKinley a few years ago, and Rachel won — but that was only because Kurt threw the competition for his father’s sake.
So Brody (Dean Geyer) gathers a bunch of NYADA students for a midnight competition, and Kurt and Rachel face off. They both sing the incredibly challenging “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables, and each sound stunning. But in the end, their NYADA classmates have to choose a winner.
And that winner is... KURT.
Hummel beats out Berry by an extremely narrow margin, but its a win nonetheless. And honestly? We think it’s about time somebody showed Rachel that she’s not the divine goddess Barbra Streisand incarnate... (yet.)
