Each year, the Do Something Awards honor celebrities who are making an impact and giving back to their communities in meaningful ways. This year, both Lea Michele (Rachel) and her boyfriend Cory Monteith (Finn) are up for an award.

Glee’s resident power couple has garnered his and her’s nominations this year: His for the TV Star: Male category and hers in the category of TV Star: Female.

Chosen for her work with PETA to support animal rights, and for her performance at a cancer research benefit, Lea is up against Nickelodeon starlet Victoria Justice, New Girl’s Zooey Deschanel, Parks and Recreation’s Amy Poehler and actress/comedienne Betty White.

Cory is being recognized for his work with Virgin founder Richard Branson, which includes charities that support arts education awareness and others that work with at risk young homeless people. His competition for the award includes host Ryan Seacrest, How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris, Iron Man’s Don Cheadle, and Vampire Diaries heartthrob Ian Somerhalder (Damon).
