We didn’t think it was possible, but it seems that Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) are even cuter together in real life than they are onscreen.
Lea appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, and the Glee star revealed that her real-life bestie Jonathan was in the audience watching her — along with his parents! Too cute! It appears that all that time together onstage and in front of a camera — as co-stars in both Glee and Broadway’s Spring Awakening — has turned them into the best of friends.
But if Jonathan thought that he was just there to be a spectator, he was wrong. In fact, it wasn’t long before the poor guy — who’s now starring on the show Boss — found himself in hot water. “He didn’t call me on my birthday, so I brought him here today to call him out,” Lea told Jimmy about Jonathan. Ouch! Lea apparently is not one to forgive and forget, at least when it comes to her special day.
So what did J-Groff have to say for himself? “I just forgot — I’m so sorry,” Jonathan told Lea and Jimmy from the audience, following up with, “I can’t believe you’re calling me out on Jimmy Kimmel!” On the plus side, we have a feeling he’ll never forget Lea’s birthday again for as long as he lives.
