Lea Michele Goes to New York City! Glee Star Makes First Trip for Season 4 Filming

We don’t yet know if Rachel will be successful in her quest to take New York City by storm on Glee Season 4 this fall, but Lea Michele certainly seems have it covered!

Glee’s stars have been busy shooting Season 4 from L.A. for the past few weeks, including shooting indoor scenes on a set that will double as New York City. But we now know that Lea is busy filming some New York exteriors, too, which will presumably appear in the premiere, the Britney Spears tribute or in Episode 3. In other words, Rachel Berry is on the loose, and the Big Apple will never be the same.

Lea had initially tweeted that she was “off to somewhere very exciting right now and that she can’t stop smiling.” She then revealed the mystery location: “If you haven’t guessed.. I’m in New York City! So excited to be here!” And we’re so jealous! A note to Lea: Next time you go, can you squeeze us into your carry-on? Thanks a bunch!

Considering that Lea seems to have a ball wherever she goes, it should come as no surprise that Lea has been able to squeeze a little fun into the trip as well. She tweeted, “Did lots of fun stuff in the city yesterday.. Now today.. Work!” Then again, not getting trampled by the tourists in Times Square can seem like work it itself.

Wait — but is her boyfriend Cory Monteith (Finn) on the New York set? We thought she couldn’t work without him! Hopefully, she can make a temporary exception.
