So the Season 3 premiere is still 69 days away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still mourn the loss of three major characters from the show’s fourth season, right? Glee creator Ryan Murphy broke the news to The Hollywood Reporter that the upcoming season will be Lea Michele (Rachel), Chris Colfer (Kurt), and Cory Monteith‘s (Finn) last — sob!
We knew the upcoming graduation season would mean saying farewell to some beloved cast members, but as much as it may hurt fans, Murphy would rather take the heat now, saying, “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
Yeah, we get it. But a part of us was still hoping we could follow them outside of the McKinley High walls, Saved By the Bell: The College Years style. What do you think, Gleeks? Can we ever get over this loss — or is this the best time to say goodbye?
