Glee Season 3, Episode 5: “The First Time” may be about who was giving up their V-card, but it also featured another first that certainly didn’t go unnoticed by us — the first time a Warblers song was fronted by someone other than Blaine (Darren Criss)!

Sure, that boyfriend-stealing new guy, Sebastian, got one solo, but lead vocals for Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” went to a different brown-haired Daltonite. So who is this Warbler, anyway?

The actor’s name is Curt Mega, and he’s been playing a Warbler named Nick practically ever since the acapella crooners first made their Glee debut…and he was one of a handful of Warblers chosen to accompany the New Directions on this summer’s Glee Live! tour.

Curt’s a Texas boy at heart. Originally from Texas, the 23-year-old moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.

He’s huge in the Tumblrverse: Curt, along with fellow Warbler Riker Lynch (Jeff), have developed quite the fan following on Tumblr! He also frequently updates his own Tumblr, which you can check out here.

Not too shabby! His @CurtMega Twitter account has over 23,000 followers.

Trouty Mouth, is that you? Before he was cast as a Warbler, Curt originally tried out for the role of Sam Evans (currently played by Chord Overstreet)!

Too school for cool! His favorite Warblers’ number is Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”

What did you think of Curt’s solo Warbler debut? And do you want to see him take center stage again in the future? Sound off in the comments and let us know!
