Naya Rivera vs. Dianna Agron: Who’d Be Best in The Hunger Games?
With The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set to begin filming later this summer, fans are already hard at work dreaming up which actors they’d love to see make it into the film.
For female roles, it’s the tough-as-nails former tribute Johanna Mason who fans just can’t help but try to dreamcast. Plenty of Glee viewers have called for Dianna Agron (Quinn) to get her shot at the edgy new role, but quite a few others hope that Naya Rivera (Santana) might get it, instead.
So who is Johanna, anyway? A cunning warrior and Hunger Games champion from 10 years prior, Johanna Mason finds herself suddenly tossed back into the ring after the Capitol decides to hold the third Quarter Quell: their first-ever games comprised solely of former champions.
Johanna is bold, edgy, and powerful. She has spiky brown hair in Catching Fire, but will eventually sport a shaved head after being tortured by the Capitol in Mockingjay.
Which of the Glee starlets do you think would be best for the role? Dianna usually plays more of the all-American sweetheart type, while Naya lands the sassier parts. Personality-wise, Naya might be the better fit for the character.
That said, Dianna does have more film credits to her name, and a role like Johanna would be a great chance to expand her versatility and range. Now it’s your turn to sound off. Which Glee actress would you most like to see in the role?
