full size May 14: Naya Rivera at the FOX Upfronts in NYC

As Santana struggled through a heartbreaking coming out story in Glee Season 3,  actress Naya Rivera definitely started to garner a little bit of Emmy buzz.

After all, her Glee co-star Chris Colfer’s acting during Kurt’s powerful coming out story in Season 1 earned him an Emmy nom. It didn’t seem like too much of a stretch to posit that a nomination for Naya might be in order.

Alas, the Emmy nominations on July 19 came and went, and Naya’s name was nowhere to be found.

Nominated in the category of Best Supporting Actress (Comedy) were Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, Modern Family’s Julie Bowen, Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig, Desperate Housewives’ Kathryn Joosten, Nurse Jackie’s Meritt Wever, and The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik.

Do you agree with the Emmy voters picks, or do you think Naya should have been among the actresses selected for a shot at the award? Head below to sound off!
