For a show that has been fairly popular on the awards show circuit the past couple of seasons, Glee isn’t exactly raking in the nominations this year.

On December 12, the show was nominated for a 2013 Screen Actor’s Guild award in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. It’s the third time Glee has received this nom, but previous years have also seen individual cast members nominated for their work. No such luck this year!

Then, on December 12, the Golden Globes announced their official list of 2013 nominees — and Glee was nowhere in sight. Girls, Modern Family, Episodes, The Big Bang Theory and Smash took the Best Television Comedy or Musical category instead, and none of the Glee cast members managed to get a Best Actor or Best Actress nom, either.

Granted, Glee has certainly had its time in the spotlight already. Perhaps the Globes just wanted to give newbies like Smash a better chance to shine. Do you agree with the decision, or do you think Ryan Murphy and Co. were unnecessarily snubbed? Head below and let us know your thoughts.
