While it’s already been confirmed that each of Glee’s core cast members will be back at some point next season, the fates of many non-recurring characters are still up in the air.
We still don’t know yet if original Glee Project winners Damian McGinty (Rory) and Samuel Larsen (Joe) will be back, and everybody’s favorite villainous Warbler Grant Gustin (Sebastian) is in the exact same boat.
While reports back in January suggested that 22-year-old Grant was already a lock for a series regular slot on Season 4, the actor himself tells ET Canada recently that he still doesn’t know yet if he’ll get to return to Glee at all.
"They're doing another season of The Glee Project so they'll be adding another character there,” Grant says. “And I won't give anything away, but they're bringing in some other new characters as well."
That said, Grant maintains that he’d rush back to Glee in a heartbeat if they ask him back. "I love doing that show,” he says. “The fans are great and I'd love to do more.”
UPDATE: TV Line's Michael Ausiello confirms on August 20 that Glee still no plans yet for Grant to return yet in Season 4, though Grant's rep confirms that he is still "open to returning." Sigh.
