full size Rachel and Kurt at Regionals in Glee Season 3, Episode 14: “On My Way”

When Rachel (Lea Michele) first bombed her audition for NYADA back in May, fans were outraged and plenty of them demanded that she get another shot.

Everyone seemed convinced that NYADA was Rachel’s destiny — until Rachel’s destiny suddenly got in the way of Kurt’s (Chris Colfer), that it! In a shocking Season 3 finale twist, Rachel ended up getting that coveted NYADA slot, but Kurt didn’t.

Did Kurt, whose killer audition seemed to make him a shoe-in, lose out on his spot because of Rachel? We have no way of knowing, but it certainly seemed like a possibility. Suddenly, no one seemed to care about Rachel’s Broadway dreams anymore. Everyone was all too mad at her for seemingly ruining Kurt’s future.

Funny how everything can change on a dime like that, isn’t it?

So now that the finale is long over and the NYADA decisions have been made, how do Glee fans feel about the ultimate result? We took a poll among Wetpaint readers like you. Here’s a look at what you said.

Did Rachel Deserve to Get in NYADA instead of Kurt?
- Almost half, about 43% said, “No way. NYADA was Kurt’s! He earned it.
- Only 12% said, “Absolutely! She worked hard for her redemption. NYADA is her’s
- The most popular response, 45% said, “I’m FLOORED that they didn’t both get in. Why, Glee? Why?

Poor Rachel. Fans really don’t seem too happy for her success, do they? Of course, the largest percent of viewers still seem to think that both Kurt and Rachel deserved to get in. Either way, no one seems very happy with the way things actually went down.

Don’t fret, though! From what we’re hearing, Kurt’s future in Season 4 is beginning to sound pretty fantastic!
