6. So many awesome Britney songs!
Britney herself may not have been crazy about the episode, but we loved it, since the show managed to cover her amazing songs in so many different styles. It was almost impossible to pick a favorite, between those powerful harmonies on “3,” or Blaine (Darren Criss) and Artie’s (Kevin McHale) bouncy “Boys”/“Boyfriend.” And Brittany (Heather Morris) was as hilarious as ever in channeling the former Mickey Mouse Clubber. Pass the Cheetos, please.
5. Two Puckermans are hotter than one.
Two Pucks in one room! That’s a whole lotta surliness. But we watching Puck (Mark Salling) meet Jake (Jacob Artist) for the first time, which helps convince Puck the Younger to join the glee club. From what the two dudes say, it sounds like Mr. Puckerman wasn’t much of a father to either boy, but we sure as heck aren’t complaining about those sexy genes that he provided.
4. Brittany finally has a friend in Lima — other than Lord Tubbington, of course.
Brit’s in desperate need of a McKinley bestie, with the Unholy Trinity no longer intact. So we’re in complete support of Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Brittany forming a dynamic duo, with their similar hair colors and similar IQ levels. Go, Team Bram! That said, didn’t Sam seem a bit dumber than usual this week? (Remember in “Furt” how he said he loves astronomy? What happened to that?)
3. Jake and Marley forever? Uh, not so fast...
It looks like Jake’s jacket is in high demand, with Kitty (Becca Tobin) shocking Marley (Melissa Benoist) with the news that she and Jake are a thing. And here we thought that Marley and Jake were about as cute together as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake circa 1999, especially after that crazy-awesome duet on “Crazy”/”U Drive Me Crazy.” Maybe Jake really does deserve to be tied up with a giant rope.
2. Santana is back — but why is she too busy for Brittany?
Look, we loved seeing Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany’s chat session, but why did Santana have to be so disinterested in talking to Brit, especially after Sue (Jane Lynch) kicks her off the Cheerios? And where was Santana’s usual sass? We don’t like what Louisville is doing to our girl! We hope we’ll be seeing these two in the same room soon so they can get back to their old, armpit-sniffing selves.
1. Nice try, Brody!
Things seemed to be going all kinds of right for these two after that smokin’ rendition of “Oops!... I Did It Again,” but then Rachel was like “thanks — I’m good” when he went in for that smooch. However, now that Finn’s (Cory Monteith) name is off the wall, Brody may want to try that kiss again (or else he can just give us a call). Come to think of it, who else would have been fine if the episode was just footage of Brody doing situps for an hour?
