So Many Networks, Not Enough Ryan Murphy!
Ryan Murphy is on motherloving fire right now. Glee is powering through its third season; American Horror Story is simultaneously arousing and terrifying audiences everywhere; and now, his latest project, a single camera half-hour comedy, has been picked up by NBC after a major three-way bidding war with ABC, and Fox.
The new show, which Ryan created, executive-produced, and co-wrote with Glee co-executive producer Allison Adler, is described as "heart-warming” and will focus on a gay couple and the woman trying to become their surrogate — loosely based on their own separate experiences trying to start a family.
NBC is reportedly so excited about the new show, they're looking to hire a casting director ASAP to begin scouting for leads. We'll keep you posted on the details as they arise!
