Spoiler alert, gleeks! Someone is going to die before the end of Glee’s Season 2, and it’s not going to just be a pet bird this time.

Here are the facts so far:

1. According to TV Line’s Michael Ausiello, the character getting the axe is “beloved.” Glee isn’t just killing off some sourpuss like Terri Schuester — it’s going to be someone we care about.

2. Also via Ausiello, the loss will be “unexpected” and will “rock the world of one of McKinley’s own.” So the dying character is very close to someone at McKinley, but they may or may not be at McKinley themselves.

3. Photographers recently snapped pics on the set of Season 2, Episode 21: “Funeral,” and quite a few cast members were wearing funeral attire. We were more concerned with who wasn’t in the photos. Any of them could be the one in the coffin!

4. Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Puck (Mark Salling)  might have been noticeably missing from the on-set “Funeral” photos, but both guys were photographed in New York filming scenes for Glee’s season 2 finale. Thank goodness! It looks like Sam and Puck are both still alive.

So which beloved soul is about to kick the bucket? Based on the above info, we’ve compiled our top four suspects.

Blaine: Blaine (Darren Criss) is obviously beloved — ask any of Glee’s screaming fangirls — and his death would simply crush poor Kurt. Sorry to say it, but that makes him spot on for both parts of Ausiello’s spoiler.

Still, with all the attention Blaine has been getting for his positive role in Kurt (Chris Colfer)’s bullying storyline, we find it a little hard to believe that Glee would suddenly just kill him off. Besides which, Klaine very recently had their first kiss! We’re pretty sure this means they’re supposed to be together forever. So Blaine can’t possibly die… right?

Emma: With both of their pesky exes finally out of the picture, things might finally be looking up for Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays). Would Glee really kill off its adorably OCD guidance counselor? That would sure bring Schue’s life to a screeching halt!

Becky: We know her character is only an adorable little minion for Sue, but still — what Glee viewer doesn’t like Becky? For as heartless as Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) might be, she has a soft spot for the girl. No doubt she’d take Becky’s death particularly hard.

Burt: We can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want Burt Hummel as their father. Think about it: Scenes between Kurt and his dad have been some of Glee’s most touching. After that heart attack earlier this season, we know Burt’s health is already a little frail. His death truly might shatter poor Kurt to the core.

It doesn’t help that actor Mike O’Malley recently booked a new Fox sitcom pilot. Mike says he’d love to stay on Glee as long as they’ll have him, but this new show still worries us a bit. Our only condolences? TV Line specified that the Glee death would be “unexpected” — and Burt just had a heart attack a few months ago. That is not exactly coming out of nowhere!
