When Glee’s Darren Criss (Blaine) made his Broadway debut in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on January 3, sitting in the crowd were two of his close college friends: Team StarKid members Brant Cox and Joe Moses.

Any fan of Darren’s from before his Glee days will quickly tell you about StarKid, the theatre production company Darren started with friends at the University of Michigan. Joe Moses is most famous for his role as Snape in the initial StarKid show, A Very Potter Musical, while Brant Cox played loyal best pal Bug’s (Joey Richter) loyal best pal Roach in the most recent musical, Starship.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Brant after the show to get his reaction. What did he think of Darren’s performance? And … could StarKid possibly have another musical in the works? We’ve got the answers below, but you’d better hurry. Last one there’s a delicious rotten egg!

Wetpaint Entertainment: What did you think of Darren's opening night performance? How did he do?
Brant Cox:
Darren absolutely blew me away in How To Succeed! His transition to the stage was flawless, and he brought an energy and youth to the role I don't think I had ever seen previous. And the audience most certainly embraced it! It was a night I don't think many of will forget for a long time.

How long have you and he been friends?
Darren and I became friends when we were both completing our undergraduate degrees at The University of Michigan.

We heard that fellow StarKid Joe Moses (Snape in AVPM) was there, too. What did he think of the show?
He thought it was absolutely phenomenal!!

Are you doing anything with StarKid in the future? What's up next (for you, personally, and for Team StarKid)?
I am an official StarKid but its so hard to join in while being in Los Angeles. Team StarKid is, in fact, planning on doing another show soon but it will be in Chicago, so that would be a tough one for me. Right now, I am absolutely loving Los Angeles though and doing tons of voice over and comedy auditions!

But as always with Team StarKid, stay tuned. We always seem to have something up our sleeve!

Another StarKid show? We can’t wait to find out more about it.
