Forgive us if we seem to be in a daze, but our jaws are still on the floor from the shocking Glee Season 4, Episode 14: “I Do.” The episode had some amazing scenes, but where do they rank among Glee’s all-time best Valentine’s moments?
Here are our picks for the five most romantic Valentine’s moments on the show ever. Love is in the air!
5. Finn gives Rachel a star necklace (Season 2, Episode 12: “Silly Love Songs”)
This Season 2 episode feels like a looong time ago, as some key moments including Blaine (Darren Criss) trying to impress the Gap store guy, and Artie (Kevin McHale) serenading his girlfriend Brittany (Heather Morris). Ah, the memories.
But our favorite moment from that episode is Finn (Cory Monteith) giving Rachel (Lea Michele) a star-shaped necklace because he believes in her. It might have been Finn and Quinn (Dianna Agron) who had the magical chemistry that week with their kiss, but Finn’s gift let us know which gal really belonged with him.
4. Kurt receives gifts from a secret admirer: Karofsky! (Season 3, Episode 13: “Heart”)
Don’t worry — the show may have forgotten about poor Karofsky (Max Adler), but we sure haven’t. In fact, it was heartwarming to see how he’d changed, as he dresses up in a gorilla costume to give Kurt (Chris Colfer) little gifts and declare his love. We still wish Karofsky could come back on the show as Kurt’s bestie, but at least we’ll always our memory of him baring his soul in the monkey suit.
3. Klaine hooks up — and Blaine wants to get serious! (Season 4, Episode 14: “I Do”)
Klaine’s reunion wasn’t completely blissful this year, since Kurt clearly still has his guard up. But just the fact that Kurt and Blaine hooked up — and can’t appear to keep their hands off each other, as their car make-out attests — is a good sign. And Blaine’s speech about them being together for good couldn’t have been cuter.
2. Brittana’s kiss following Brittany’s playlist (Season 3, Episode 13: “Heart”)
We could have used some Brittana moments this Valentine’s Day (yes, this is us pouting), but at least we have last year’s to get us by. Their kiss on the dance floor was amazing, as is Brittany giving that playlist to Santana (Naya Rivera), including such awesome song choices as the Diff’rent Strokes theme song. To paraphrase that song, it takes Brittana to move the world.
1. Finn tells Rachel they’re endgame (Season 4, Episode 14: “I Do”)
Who knew Finn was such a fan of gardening metaphors? Okay, so his little spiel about love being a flower garden was on the corny side of things, but we still loved it — and Rachel appeared to be a fan, too. Even better was Finn telling her that they’re endgame — and them ending up in bed together. We’re a little worried about Rachel’s possible pregnancy, but we prefer to focus on the fact that we’re not the only ones who think Finchel is endgame.
