If you’re like us, you’ve already seen the teaser trailer for Chris Colfer’s (Kurt) new movie, “Struck By Lighting,” about a million times. But if you’re hoping to catch the flick at your local movie theatre anytime soon... we may have a bit of unfortunate news.

The independent movie — which Chris both wrote and is starring in —still has no studio distributor or wide release date, but that doesn’t mean

Variety reports that “Struck By Lightning” will be among 40 films showing at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. The annual festival, which runs from April 18-29 in New York City, will constitute the film’s official premiere.

So if you’ve got an extra wad of cash lying around for a festival pass (or at least an individual screening ticket), and can get yourself to NYC, you just might be able to see Chris film at it’s premiere next month. But if that’s not an option, don’t fret. Just because the movie doesn’t have a distributor yet... that doesn’t mean it won’t get one eventually.

And these new developments only seem like signs of even more good things to come!
