The end of Glee Season 3 is quickly approaching — and we have a very important date for add to your calendar: the upcoming season finale!

The final episode of Glee Season 3 will air on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. But don’t turn on your TV during Glee’s regular 8pm time slot... because the tearjerker of a finale won’t be on until 9pm!

Fellow Fox hit American Idol will be holding its own epic finale at 8pm on Wednesday, May 23, and the ratings hard-hitter is extending its finale into a huge two-night event. Part One of the Idol closer airs during Glee’s normal slot — 8pm on Tuesday — which pushes the New Directions and co. back to 9pm.
