This hiatus from Glee has been rough on us. Without constant visual entertainment, we’re left to speculate and write fan fiction and obsessively check stars’ Twitter feeds for news on our favorite show. It’s gotten so bad, that occasionally we’re awoken from fever dreams screaming “Stop messing with us, Ryan Murphy!”

So, it was a welcome relief when, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan dished about the future of the hit series and how the new cast is fitting in to the story.

I've really wanted it to go on, and I wanted to populate it with new people. We did that this season, and thankfully those kids have popped,” Ryan says about newbies like Jacob Artist (Jake Puckerman), Dean Geyer (Brody Weston), Becca Tobin (Kitty), and Melissa Benoist (Marley).

“It used to be a very tumultuous set; now it's like kids in the candy store,” Ryan dishes. As for the future of Glee? Ryan says “I feel like we finally figured out how to make it work, and I think we could get another four years from this show.”

That will help us sleep tonight.

What do you think, does the show have enough juice to go four more years — bringing it all the way through Season 8 —  or did Glee already peak, high school-style?
