A certain Glee Project alum seems to have enjoyed his first televised singing competition so much that he’s ready for another one!

We loved hearing
Matheus Fernandes’s voice and, ahem, seeing his abs on Season 1 of The Glee Project. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to him early on in the competition.

Now, he has a second shot at singing fame, as he received a “golden ticket” to the Hollywood round following a successful American Idol audition on the Long Beach episode last night.

American Idol’s judges were all blown away by Matheus’ amazing voice on his rendition of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.” So now we can’t wait to find out how far he makes it!

Matheus took to Twitter on January 30 to express how emotional he got while watching his audition:

And we weren’t the only ones excited to see a familiar face on our TV screens last night. Damian McGinty (Rory), one of the winners of Matheus’s Glee Project season, wished some luck to his “little bro” via Twitter:

How cute is it that these two are still pals?

So just how far does Matheus make it in the competition. We’ve got that spoiler info — but only if you want to know!
