Matt Bomer might not be reprising his role as Blaine’s bro on Glee anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean that he and Glee creator Ryan Murphy won’t be working together again soon. Far from it, actually!

Matt — who will appear on Ryan’s NBC sitcom The New Normal next week — is set to star in another one of Ryan’s projects with the word “normal” in the title.

Ryan is attached to direct a star-studded film adaptation of the Tony-winning play The Normal Heart, which dramatizes the AIDS crisis in the early ‘80s. The play debuted in NYC in 1985 and its 2011 revival on Broadway won three Tony Awards.

Matt won’t be the only talented star in the cast, according to IMDb. Also currently attached to the film are Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, and Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons. Plus, Julia’s husband Danny Moder has signed on as the film’s cinematographer. (Who says nepotism is dead in Hollywood?)

Details are a little less clear on when this film will actually get made, however. Ryan whose last directorial effort was 2010’s Eat Pray Love, also starring Julia Roberts doesn’t appear to have a ton of free time in his schedule these days. We guess that’s what happens when you have three shows on the air!

Long story short: We hope your 2013 resolution was to have oodles of patience. Still, we can’t wait for this movie to finally end up on the big screen. And we’re also secretly hoping that Matt will be as shirtless in this movie as he was in his last film, Magic Mike. Make it happen, Ryan!
