We can’t even imagine living without Twitter. (Like, that idea seriously gives us stress hives.) But, hey — we guess Twitter’s not for everyone. In fact, one Glee star has decided he’s done sharing his 140-character thoughts with the internet.

Max Adler (Dave Karofsky) said goodbye to his followers on the popular social media site on New Year’s Eve. Though he didn’t really go into why he was ditching his account, he did take the time to bestow a very sweet thank you to his legions of fans.

"Hey there everyone! Happy New Year! I just wanted to inform you that today will be my last official day on Twitter. I want to thank you all so very much for your outstanding and generous love and support. It has truly meant the world, and been one heck of an exciting ride. You are awesome, and I will never ever forget you guys. Please remember to treat everyone out there with equal respect, and I wish you all nothing but the very very best. Have a phenomenal, safe, happy, healthy, and successful 2013, and I hope all your dreams come true. Take care of yourselves, and thank you so much for being a part of my life:) Goodbye for now. 'Til next time..."

We’re sad to see Max is leaving Twitter, but hopefully he’ll stay in our lives somehow! Like, perhaps, a return to Glee?
