Over the past four seasons, Glee has introduced plenty of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters. Raising awareness about the issues of bullying and creating a greater understanding are central tenets of the show.

Yet, not every actor who plays an LGBT character is actually gay themselves. And on the flip side, some of the straight characters on the show are played by LGBT actors.
