It seemed like an insult when Chris Colfer (Kurt) said he found out season three would be his last on Glee by reading Twitter, and, according to an E! Online report, it kind of was. Could it have been a simple miscommunication?

"I can guarantee you that no agent is gonna forget to call a client who is on Glee right now, and say, ‘By the way, you haven't been picked up,'" Tim Kessler, an on-camera agent, tells E!. “In fact, a lot of times, producers go right to the talent because they see them more often than they see the agents."

So what happened in this case? "We don't know what else is going on," Kessler continues. "There could have been a negotiation going on to maybe extend those characters, and it came down to money, and the network decided to make the final choice. There could have been a lot of different things going on."

In the end, The Hollywood Reporter got the news from creator Ryan Murphy first. And that’s gotta sting a little. Hope things don’t get awkward on set this season!
