If you’ve always wanted to watch Glee’s cast act out an episode of the show, you may soon be able to do the next best thing — and benefit a good cause at the same time.
Glee stars Naya Rivera (Santana), Kevin McHale (Artie), Dean Geyer (Brody) (gasp!), and Darren Criss (Blaine) (double gasp!) will be appearing at The Biggest Event 2012 in Culver City, Calif., on Saturday, October 20. The event benefits the Young Storytellers Foundation, a nonprofit organization that uses mentors from the entertainment industry to teach screenwriting to public school students.
What will you get to see if you attend? Those Glee cast members — along with Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste), Max Adler (Dave Karofsky), and Iqbal Theba (Principal Figgins) — will act out several short screenplays written by students in the writing program. Sounds like a blast — and a chance to cheer on some promising youngsters!
Also, if you’re upset about the lack of Karofsky this season, now is your chance to get your Max Adler fix.
So how much does the event cost? Well, it’s not exactly cheap, as admission will run you 50 bucks — but like we said, it’s all for a good cause. Plus, this is Darren Criss we’re talking about, and seeing him in the flesh is basically priceless.
And if you have $500 burning a hole in your pocket, you can upgrade to the VIP ticket, which provides a “meet and greet with celebrity performers.” Sweet! So if you go for the VIP ticket, and you get to chat with Darren Criss backstage, and you guys hit it off, and then you two end up falling in love and getting married... well, just promise to invite us to your wedding, m’kay? (Hey — it could happen.)
