Brenda Castle is a new teacher who arrives at McKinley High during the peak of the Sue Sylvester "Physical" scandal. Castle is a busty 45-year-old astronomy teacher and badminton coach who is both an alcoholic and a pill popper. She is from Fort Wayne, but was banned from teaching in Indiana due to a drug scandal involving her students. Castle spends her on-screen time sparring with Sue, as well as making a play for Will Schuester.
