Debra is best known for co-writing and starring in the musical Pump Boys and Dinettes, which started off-off Broadway and ended up earning a Tony nomination for Best Musical in 1982. She won a Tony Award in 1993 for Best Actress in a Play for Redwood Curtain, and she also received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play for her role in Picnic (1994) and another for Best Actress in a Musical for Steel Pier (1997). We're impressed.

Random factoid: Debra was voted "best personality" by her high school class.
