Which Stunning Movie Actress Does Glee’s Ryan Murphy Want to Play Blaine’s Mom?

Ryan was asked on Twitter whether we would meet Blaine’s dad at some point, and Ryan said he wasn’t sure. However, Ryan shared that he would love to have Catherine Zeta-Jones join the cast as Blaine’s mom. And we love the idea, too!

Catherine — whose film credits include The Mask of Zorro and Traffic — hasn’t done much TV and so might not have been the first person whom we thought of to play Blaine’s mom, but we agree that she would pretty much be perfect. First of all, she and Darren Criss have similar looks, and secondly, the woman has killer pipes!

In fact, Catherine has proven her amazing singing chops time and time again, including with the recent film Rock of Ages and her Oscar-winning role in the film Chicago, not to mention Broadway roles like 2009’s A Little Night Music, which earned her a Tony Award. That’s right — she’s halfway to an EGOT!

Darren recently told reporters that he would like to see Peter Gallagher — a.k.a. Sandy Cohen from The OC — play his father. Darren said he had an actress in mind for his mother as well, but he decided to keep the person’s name a secret so as to not jinx it. Could Ryan and Darren be on the same page with this choice? Let’s hope so!

Long story short, this is shaping up to be one photogenic family.
