Young Love, Shattered: Happy TV Engagements That Ended in Total Disaster

How it went wrong: One of the bridesmaids ends up in a wheelchair after she is blindsided by an oncoming truck on her way to the wedding. Quite understandably, the wedding gets postponed. Then, as the couple is on their way to the courthouse for take two, the groom instead pulls up to a train station unannounced, declares to the bride that he’s “setting her free,” and puts her on the next train to New York City. He then runs off to go join the army. Ouch.
