During The Glee Project, creator Ryan Murphy said he had long-desired to write a Christian character, but a “different” type of Christian than people might expect. The result? Joe Hart, Glee’s newest transfer student. A sophomore at McKinely High, Joe has only ever been home schooled before. He’s a Christian, sporting multiple scripture tattoos, and he even named each of his dreadlocks after a different book of the Bible! Joe loves playing guitar, dislikes wearing shoes, and has quickly earned the nickname “Teen Jesus.”
