Molly is an actress and comedian who is best known for her years on Saturday Night Live (she replaced Janeane Garofalo after she left mid-season in 1995). Other television work includes episodes of Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Sex & the City, Pushing Daisies, and a starring role alongside Selma Blair in the American version of the hit Australian sitcom Kath & Kim. Okay, so the American version wasn't exactly a hit in its own right, but we won't hold that against her. Molly has appeared in numerous films, including Superstar opposite Will Ferrell, which was the film based on her most recognizable SNL character, Catholic schoolgirl Mary Katherine Gallagher. She has also appeared in the films Marie Antoinette, Evan Almighty, and Year of the Dog, which provided a rare dramatic role. She is married to artist Fritz Coleman, and they have two children.

On Glee, Molly will play an astronomy and badminton teacher who is a rival of Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester. Whoa… someone is going to butt heads with Sue? What a shock!

Random factoid: Molly demonstrated her musical chops in the TV remake of The Music Man, with Matthew Broderick and Kristin Chenoweth (who has also appeared on Glee as ex-show choir star April Rhodes)! Molly also appeared in three episodes of Sex and the City with Broderick's wife, Sarah Jessica Parker. The connections continue to abound!
