No one can ever accuse Glee of not shaking things up!

Though the series just moved to New York City permanently after the McKinley High Glee Club was disbanded in Season 5, Episode 13: “New Directions,” show creator Ryan Murphy says fans should brace themselves for yet another move when Season 6 airs next fall. Say what?!

“The final season is its own story in its own location. The final season is not New York-centric at all. It really is a lovely, fitting season that dwells on the original people on the show and what happens to them and how they give back,” the show creator revealed during a “what’s next-esque” chat with TVLine and a few other select outlets. “That really is the last season. We’ll revisit some of the new kids that came and went; there’s a return of the [Sue] and [Will] in a big way. It’s a really interesting, very sweet, satisfying ending to the story.

We’re all for “sweet” and “satisfying” but this new location tease is really throwing us for a loop, especially since we just relocated. Seeing as how Rachel (Lea Michele) is pretty much the undisputed main character, we have a feeling she could drive this move, but just where exactly are Ryan and Co. planning on taking her next?

If Funny Girl is a success we could see Rachel taking it on tour, and if it’s a failure maybe Rach will take a much-needed break and head to Bali to relax, but we still don’t see how either of those scenarios incorporate the show’s other current stars, including but not limited to Kurt (Chris Colfer), Santana (Naya Rivera), Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet), and Artie (Kevin McHale).

When Ryan was asked if Season 6 would revisit McKinley High, he again mentioned Season 6’s different locale, noting, “You might see it again in some very nostalgic way, yes, but I don’t want to talk about the location [of Season 6] just yet.”

OK Mr Murphy, we’re officially intrigued! Do you like the idea of Glee moving again in Season 6, or would you rather everyone stay in NYC? Vote below!

Glee Season 5 airs Tuesday nights on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
