Mark Salling’s (Puck) drama surrounding sexual battery allegations from earlier this year continues. TMZ reports that the 30-year-old Glee actor is suing State Farm insurance for refusing to cover his legal bills associated with the case.
Former Playboy model Roxanne Gorzela filed a lawsuit against Mark in January, alleging that he forced her to have sex without a condom once during their relationship in 2011. She says that when she later confronted him at his home to get proof that he was STD-free, he pushed her to the ground.
Now, Mark is suing State Farm, saying that their homeowner’s policy requires the company to cover his legal and other bills involved in his defense, but that State Farm has refused. In the suit, Mark refers to State Farm’s refusal as "despicable" and "malicious." So much for being like a good neighbor.
Apparently, State Farm hasn’t given a reason for not covering Mark, but it’s assumed that the insurance company is falling back on a provision that allows it to deny coverage for criminal acts. Meanwhile, TMZ refers to Roxanne’s sexual battery case against Mark as “ongoing.”
In May, it was reported that Mark is countersuing Roxanne for trespassing, assault and battery. He says she hit him on the chest, arms and face, and that she caused "substantial" damage to his car.
Wow. We were hoping this whole situation would get resolved quickly, but clearly is not the case.
