‘GMA’ Co-Host Lara Spencer Engaged to Ricky McVey
Congratulations are in order for Lara Spencer!
The Good Morning America co-host is engaged to tech entrepreneur Ricky McVey.
The couple has been dating for two years and the TV host confirmed the exciting news to People.
No word on when the engagement happened, but the 48-year-old shared photos on Instagram from Colorado just a few days ago.
Lara, who is also the star of HGTV’s Flea Market Flip, met her fiancé on a blind date after being set up by friends.
Ricky is also the founder, chairman, and CEO of MarketAxess, a financial technology company.
The blonde beauty has been open about their relationship on social media and has shared photos with him before.
“The first 3 attempts at this selfie had the #eiffeltower coming out of my head like a single antenna #smallvictory #paris,” she captioned a photo of them over the summer.
This will also be Lara’s second marriage, as she was previously married to David Haffenreffer for 15 years.
The former pair, who share daughter Katherine and son Duff, announced their split in 2015.
“After a lot of thought, care and consideration, we have decided to end our marriage,” they said in a statement.
“It’s a sad decision that did not come easily, especially because we respect and love each other and our children.”
They continued, “They remain our top priority. We will raise them and care for them together.”
Congrats on the engagement, Lara!
