Good News for Teresa Giudice: Different Fraud Case Dropped
It looks like Teresa Giudicemay be getting some good news for a change in the legal department. According to the local news The Star-Ledger (via nj.com), the Real Housewives of New Jerseystar is off the hook for at least one lawsuit against her.
"A rare legal victory for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice: A Bergen County Superior Court judge dismissed a lawsuit against the embattled reality TV queen, saying she played no role in a fraud perpetrated by her husband against his former business partner Joseph Mastropole," the article stated.
What's more, Joe is catching a break from the judge, as well.
The article goes on to say, "Judge Robert Polifroni also dismissed much of Mastropole's case against Joe Giudice, although he left the door open for Mastropole to seek punitive damages against his former partner for forging his name on documents related to the discharge of a mortgage on an East Orange apartment building, part of their so-called 'business divorce' in 2007."
With their sentencing looming this July, the Giudice's need all the help they can get. Here's hoping there is more good news on the way for the Jersey family.
Currently, the couple pleaded guilty to multiple counts of financial fraud. Joe is facing up to four years in jail, while Teresa could serve up to 27 months. It would be a shame to see the parents torn away from their four young daughters.
