So far on The Carrie Diaries, we’ve seen a lot of...what’s the word... oh, right, LYING. Carrie has so far lied to her sister, her dad, her boss, her friends... oh yeah, and Larissa (Freema Agyeman), the super hip New Yorker who works for Interview Magazine. Although she never outright told Larissa she’s of age, lying about who you’re hooking up with and then showing up at a bar sort of tips the scales of truth (there are scales, right?).

While we’ve loved watching Larissa open Carrie’s eyes to all the wonder and bright colors of the city, we can’t deny the growing discomfort we’re feeling for both parties as they go deeper down the friendship rabbit hole. So, what’s the deal? Will Larissa ever find out how old Carrie really is? What will happen when she does?

“That does get addressed in the middle of the [season],” Freema tells Give Me My Remote. “And the more I get to know Larissa, the more I think the way she reacts is right. Whether I thought she would react like that when I first met her is a different story, but as time goes on and we get to know her a little more, and we learn more about what makes her tick — she quickly collects people, but she quickly can drop them, too.”

Uh oh, so does that mean the Carrie-Larissa wild ride might be on its way to the finish line? “She isn’t one to do anything or have anyone around her she doesn’t want. So she deals with it in an appropriate way…it is given consequence, I think, because it really is quite a big thing. And I think the very fact that Carrie’s there already in New York has led her to think she and believe she’s an adult; there’s no reason for her to think otherwise. Let’s just say it shall be dealt with.”

Just the amount of ambiguity we’d expect from the very mysterious Larissa. What do you think, will she be cool with it or is this a deal breaker for their friendship?
