Gossip Girl Fashion: Copy Serena’s Stellar Mix and Match Style

Leave it to Gossip Girl to whip a bunch of little quirks into one curiously cohesive ensemble, as seen on Blake Lively (Serena) while filming the upcoming Season 5. The flirty polka-dot printed skirt doesn’t seem like it would go so well with a cazh striped tank and a cropped pink blazer, but with a bit of fashion chutzpah, this look makes us want to throw all of our mismatched pieces together and see what happens.

For now, we’re just content to copy her look, which still follows basic styling rules like fit and proportion to make it work so well (structured jacket balances out her floaty skirt perfectly). Though the wardrobe department finished the look with nude heels, we dared to punch it up another notch with a pair of teal pumps that ring in at less than $50.
