Gossip Girl Fashion: The Best and Worst From Season 4, Episode 21, "Shattered Bass"
At least one person officially went off the deep end — two, if you count Russell Thorpe — in “Shattered Bass,” while another was almost committed on false charges. A lot of crazy things have happened during our four seasons with the Upper East Side gang, but when people actually start going, well, crazy, all bets are off. Amidst all that lack of sanity, it can be hard to keep up appearances. Who managed to play it cool — and who lost their sartorial grip, so to speak?
Hot: Blair's Cream Confection
Hot: Louis's Princely Duds
Poor Prince Louis seems to be stuck in a state of limbo as he tries to figure out just how dark Blair’s dark side can get. But at least he can find solace in the fact that his own dark side — in the form of this elegant tux — finally showed off his regal stature.
Not: Charlie as Serena's Doppelganger
It’s not that Serena’s dress didn’t look gorgeous the second time around. It did! But after her cousin Charlie stole S’s identity via this Pamela Dennis creation in an attempt to seduce S’s ex-boyfriend, there’s so much bad juju surrounding this golden gown that we just can’t give it its proper accolades.
Not: Nate as Dan's Doppelganger
Nate and Dan haven’t interacted on Gossip Girl in a while, so in his estranged bestie’s absence, Nate appears to have taken on his sense of style (or lack thereof). Henley shirt and rugged shoes do not a sexy Archibald make.
