Executive Producer Joshua Safran has finally addressed what's been on all of our minds lately ― what exactly is going on with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick)? In a new chat with EW, Safran claims Chuck is gonna keep on being Chuck. Or...New Chuck, that is.
"Monkey [his new dog] is just the beginning," he said. "Chuck's story continues the way that it started... And I think that, as I said in the past, the things that are about to happen to Chuck are the only logical next step in his evolution."
The way he started? Smarmy, bitter, lonely and forcing himself on everything that moved? Let's hope that doesn't last long... Nor his partnership with the sexy shrink that Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) apparently had commissioned for him. Though he may need some serious therapy if our suspicions that Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) is his mother turn out to be correct.
We're not sure it's the most promising prospect for Chuck/Blair (Leighton Meester) fans, but ― dare we say it ― might being alone be for the best thing for Chuck?
