Gossip Girl Season 5 Spoiler! Juicy Details From the 100th Episode: Wedding Bells Are Ringing

Hold on to your designer duds, Gossip Girl’s 100th episode is officially going to be EPIC! TVLine’s Michael Ausiello confirms that the long-teased landmark episode will revolve around none other than the royal wedding of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Prince Louis (Hugo Becker)!

Though we may have seen that one coming, Executive Producer Joshua Safran promises there are all kinds of fun surprises in store, saying the wedding episode will be “big and lavish and twisty and juicy” and include a lot of “callbacks and echoes” to GG’s pilot episode – paying homage to where it all began!

All we can say is: Eeeeee!

Yesterday we learned that that UES rapscallion Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) would be making a return for the ep, and that’s likely just the beginning of the guest-stars ― after all, what better setting to bring back some classic pot-stirrers than a wedding?? But Safran says the show’s core friendship will still be important. “The central relationship has always been [Blair and Serena],” he told Ausiello. “Blair’s getting married and her best friend is her maid of honor ― that’s a core dynamic we’re playing with.”

The dresses! The decor! The setting! A Waldorf wedding will be a sight to see… But what will it really mean for Blair? Will she pull off her dream wedding without a hitch? Or will somethin’ fishy throw things off? There’s a lot at stake with this union, and we’ve learned from experience with these folks that fairy-tales don’t always come true…

In the meantime, Blair’s BIG KISS during episode 7, “The Big Sleep No More,” has officially been confirmed to be followed by a SLAP! So what’s your best guess for the mug on the receiving end of said slap... Will it be forever-doting Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), recently-lovestruck Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), or another masked, unsuspecting smoocher?
