Monday night’s Gossip Girl Season 5, Episode 7: "The Big Sleep No More" left us pondering the future of many-an Upper East Side relationships! While
Charlie Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) and Nate (Chace Crawford) have been teased for weeks, misunderstandings abound for these two to the point that it seems things might NEVER actually come together.
First, they kiss while trying to make Nate’s secret-girlfriend jealous, then they kiss while Ivy’s trying to hide from Max (Brian J. Smith), AND THEN, Nate sees Ivy kissing Max and assumes he’s being played... all the while it’s this crazy (and crazy-immature, might we add?!) Diana (Elizabeth Hurley) pulling the strings! Seriously, we’re exhausted just thinking about all the double-crossing...
But if you’re into the pairing, E! Online has scoop from Ivy’s real-life counterpart, Kaylee DeFer, that the lovin’ might keep comin’ for the two.
Kaylee told E!, “I have a bit of a risky romance with Chace Crawford, which is fun and you get to know a lot more of the background of my character.” Surely what’s happened between the two thus far cannot yet be deemed a “romance,” right? We’re anxious to see what comes next! Might Nate be part of the big unveiling of Charlie’s true identity? And what will he think when the time comes?
E! also reports that the teased Dair action is definitely on its way. Rather, not “action,” but, you know, “feelings.” Of which, as we’re aware, Dan Humphrey has plenty! If last night’s teaser for November 21’s “All the Pretty Sources,” was any indication, we fear Lonely Boy might be heading for some, uh, public embarrassment... which is always a step in the wrong direction when trying to win over a Waldorf. Just a heads up, Danny boy...
