Guess this is what happens when you become the senior citizen of the network. But don’t panic, folks. You won’t have to do too much social restructuring to get your weekly dose of Gossip Girl in its sixth and final season.

Come fall, the show will air in the 9-10 p.m. slot on The CW, following 90210. Here are three reasons why that’s a good thing!

- 8 p.m. is so last season
- More time to get back home from Happy Hour!
- It delays not only the show — but the end of the season! (Like, if you really think about it... )

OK, so we aren’t swimming in reasons to celebrate this change, but it’s not exactly something to curse the programming gods over. On the scale of sh***y things that could happen to Gossip Girl’s sixth season, it falls just above cancelling it altogether... and way below  Penn Badgley continuing to let his shag-‘fro grow out. Seriously, ick.
