College graduation is already in full swing, and high school graduation is right around the corner. For many students, that means their entire lives are about to change — and the pressure to have the perfect career plan can feel especially strong.
Blake Lively (Serena) knows all about that feeling, and the Gossip Girl starlet took a moment from shooting her super-sexy Marie Claire magazine spread for July 2012 to offer her words of wisdom for that tumultuous time in life.
“There’s a lot of pressure when you’re graduating from high school, and you have to know right away what you’re going to do for a living,” Blake tells the mag. “What I would say to myself then, because I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a living, is just try things.”
So while the now 24-year-old starlet has discovered that acting, cooking, and fashion are her personal passions — her advice can be taken to heart for anyone searching to find the path they want their life to take.
“Just go out, and explore, and try different things: because that’s the only way to really see what you want to do and what you’re good at.”
You’ll never know unless you try. XOXO
