We’d like to say we’ve gotten a good feel for Serena’s (Blake Lively) cousin Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) since our first introduction in “The Kids Stay in the Picture.”

We know she likes hand-me-down couture and hand-me-down boyfriends — and she has a knack for manipulation. After last week’s ep, when she turned Dan’s (Penn Badgley) distrust of Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) into an opportunity to get closer to him, we began to realize this small-town girl may have the scheming chops to make it beyond Season 4.

Not to say that makes us like her any more. At least a schemer like Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is blatantly bada**. Her damsel-in-distress routine to get Dan could get tired real fast — and if Serena catches wind of her van der cousin’s romantic interest, Charlie may find herself in the first taxi out of town. But if you’re over Serena, like some GGers, then maybe you like this new addition to the dysfunctional UES family.
