When Jenny cuts school to be with Damien, the entire cast goes into crisis mode looking for her — with varying levels of dedication. We rank the cast's plotlines in that order, from "Cares a great deal about Little J surrendering her precious flower" to "Little J who?"
Cares about Jenny
Rufus is going absolutely crazy with worry over Little J. He's so upset he even forgets how mad he is at Lily — especially when she drops off his scarf without a word. He tells her nothing happened with him and Holland. They make up and promise to have a fresh start — but has Lily learned her lesson about being honest with her husband? Of course not. She sets up another secret rendezvous with her ex-husband Dr. van der Woodsen — but it's not what it appears. It seems Dr. V Der W has been giving her medical tests. Oh noes! Someone's got a case of Symptomless TV Cancer...
Cares about Jenn... hey, sex!
Serena and Nate go all big-sibling-y over Jenny, but they disagree on the best way to get her home: S tries a Blair-style scheme to get Little J to walk in on Damien hitting on her, while Nate just calls Rufus. N and S's different Jenny-saving techniques soon become all about them — Nate accidentally kinda calls her a whore. They make up when he admits how hurt he was when she left after sleeping with him back in high school. She apologizes and tells him she loves him. Woah, big step there, S.
Dan and Vanessa, meanwhile, are keeping their relationship a secret, and Dan's being kind of a dick about it. Vanessa shows up to a party without underwear, which somehow fixes things. They decide to tell everyone they're together. Dan's so happy he forgets his little sister is sleeping with a drug dealer.
Could give a crap about Jenny
Chuck and Blair have bigger fish to fry when a group of women sue him for sexual harassment and Evil Uncle Jack blows back into town. Chuck's lawyer pressures him to step down from the hotel because of the bad PR and hand over the reins to a relative. Chuck decides to trust his mother with the job — massive mistake, as it turns out she, Chuck's lawyer, and, of course, Uncle Jack, are in cahoots. Bass-tards!
Reason, begging, schemes, brute force — Little J manages to escape everyones' attempts to keep her from shacking up with her bad-news boyfriend. The only thing she can't escape? Her own self respect. When Jenny realizes Damien doesn't care what a big deal losing her virginity is, she calls their sexing off — and he immediately dumps her. She returns home, crushed, longing for a Patrick Swayze to get her out of her corner.
