Shattered Glass
This week’s ep is named for Shattered Glass, a 2003 film about Stephen Glass, a New Republic reporter who made up most of the articles he wrote. It starred Hayden Christiansen, who used to date Rachel Bilson, who starred in The O.C., which was written by Josh Schwartz, who created Gossip Girl, who probably didn’t put as much thought into this title as we just did.

VitaminWater Design Contest
Did you wonder why Eleanor wasted 10 precious seconds yammering about the t-shirt contest she was supposedly judging? Because it’s real! Eleanor’s not really a judge (she is fictional, dummy), but Eric Daman, beloved Gossip Girl costume designer, is. Go to their Facebook page for the lowdown.

Dylan’s Candy Bar
If you want to follow in candy-crazed Charlie’s footsteps, you can round up an assortment of sweets at Dylan’s Candy Bar. Owned by Ralph Lauren’s daughter Dylan Lauren, it’s an Upper East Side staple. Although we don’t imagine svelte little Kaylee DeFer (Charlie) spends a lot of her income there in real life.
