Although the plot lines on The Carrie Diaries have been really top notch so far, and the acting and writing are even better than we expected (and we expect a lot, things are about to change. Why? Well, as you know, Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) and Sebastian (Austin Butler) seem to be dunzo, after Carrie admitted to snooping for info on her boy toy. Silly girl.
But before you buy Carrie a cat and call it a day, she’s not about to go through a dry spell any time soon. In fact, Carrie is getting a brand new love interest, in the form of George Silver (Richard Kohnke). According to the synopsis for Season 1, Episode 6 “Endgame,” the two get serious enough by Thanksgiving that both George and his dad spend the holiday with Carrie’s fam.
A Splash photographer captured the above image and gave some inside scoop on Richard’s character, with the caption, “Richard Kohnke walks to set in a tuxedo for a Christmas party scene filming The Carrie Diaries on the Upper East Side in New York City. Richard plays George Silver, an entitled Upper East Sider taking a gap year between prep school and college, and gets romantic with AnnaSophia.”
Uh oh, sounds like things might get complicated for Carrie, whose entire New York City part of her life has been based on the assumption that she is a young professional living in the city. What will happen when her two lives collide? And, more importantly, is George hot enough to be the kind of rebound that will make her say “Sebastian who?” Weigh in below.
