Gossip Girl is back! This week was mostly about getting the show’s ducks in a row so our favorite Upper East Siders can go down in a hail of lies, betrayal, and feathers sometime in May.
But that didn’t mean there weren’t still a few little bombshells — especially with new player Charlie on the scene to shake things up. Here are a few of the most shocking moments from this week’s episode, “The Kids Stay in the Picture.”

5. Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) stands up to her mom
Little Cousin Charlie seems like a bit of a doormat. But all it takes is a designer-filled day with Serena (Blake Lively) to convince her to “act like an adult” and move to NYC to be a rich socialite. So mature for her age.

4. Raina (Tika Sumpter) decides to search for her mom
This isn’t so much an OMG as it is an OMG-to-be: Serious storm clouds are gathering for Chuck (Ed Westwick), Raina, and Nate (Chace Crawford). What will Raina do when she learns that her mom’s dead — and that Chuck’s dad killed her? The Bass-Thorpe feud may not be over yet...

3. Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) tells Serena about Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester)
Man. Vanessa has a lot of luck overhearing things, doesn’t she? She should take up lurking in corners full time.

2. Blair dumps Chuck
No quavering lip. No damp eyes. After Chuck’s latest scheme — which wasn’t even that bad, by his standards or Blair’s — Blair just looked done. Maybe kissing Dan Humphrey changed Blair in ways she doesn’t understand yet.

1. Louis (Hugo Becker) gets out of the cab
“Hey, ma, have you seen that single lady’s shoe I got last summer? I need it for a trip to New York.”
