There's never any shortage of relationship drama on Gossip Girl — when there's a small group of hot people who are oddly averse to dating outside their circle, we guess it's just bound to happen. But while some people are seemingly drawn to one another, despite their differences, others should probably learn to live apart, no matter how badly they want things to work. Incidentally, the same thing goes for the outfits worn on GG: Some pieces, like Vanessa's ethnic garb, really don't belong together, while other seemingly mismatched garments are made for one another. Although Vanessa was absent from Episode 4.6, "Easy J," her mishmash aesthetic was alive and well — just executed better. Check out our favorite mix and match moments below.

We loved this outfit enough to recreate the look, but we still can't get enough of those mismatched prints paired so artfully together, as well as that quirky bug-print top. Check out a different variety of animal print from Topshop for just $60:

We're sure these pieces looked even better up close for their luxe, textured fabrics. Try out Ann Taylor’s golden skirt for $69.50:

The Minions' Bright Brights

As a group, Blair's lackeys seemed a bit over the top, but in small doses, their cheery mixing of primary colors was just right. The trick is to start with something punchy, like this $64 Boden cardi, and add something equally sweet in a contrasting hue.
